Description
The TekBox TBMDA-BCI100 is a high-performance modulated wideband power amplifier designed to provide an affordable signal source for pre-compliance immunity testing with Bulk Current Injection (BCI) probes. Covering a frequency range from 1 MHz to 400 MHz and delivering up to 110 W of output power (at the 1 dB compression point), it is capable of generating test levels up to Level IV (both AM and CW) according to the ISO 11452-4 substitution method.
The amplifier features a built-in AM/PM modulator, enabling the use of a spectrum analyzer tracking generator as the signal source. With a typical small signal gain of 52 dB, it easily achieves maximum output power with a 0 dBm input signal. Built-in modulation capabilities include CW, 1 kHz 80% AM, 1 kHz 50% duty cycle PM, and 217 Hz 12.5% duty cycle PM to effectively simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.
Key Features:
- Frequency range: 1 MHz – 400 MHz.
- Maximum output power: > 110 W (approx. 50.7 dBm).
- Small signal gain: 52 dB (typical).
- Built-in modulation: CW, AM (1 kHz, 80%), PM (1 kHz, 50% duty cycle / 217 Hz, 12.5% duty cycle).
- Applications: BCI pre-compliance immunity testing (e.g., ISO 11452-4 Levels I-IV).
- I/O Connectors: 50 Ohm, N-female.
